Adventure Tours Pakistan (ATP) is a subsidiary of Adventure Tours Private Limited (ATPL) and is owned and operated by Mr. Ashraf Aman and Mr. Naiknam Karim.
Ashraf Aman, the president of the company, is the first Pakistani to climb K-2. He has more than 45 years of experience in tourism. He has been awarded the "Pride of Performance" by the President of Pakistan and the Uno Dei Cento (1 in 100) award in Milan, Italy, among other international awards. In his school years, he was awarded the Himalayan Tiger by The German Mountaineers’ team who successfully reached the summit of Nanga Parbat 1962.
Naiknam Karim, the Managing Director of ATP, is an eminent tourism professional who has extensive knowledge and experience in the business. His areas of expertise include operation management, human resource management, finance, marketing, planning and research. He is a target-oriented professional, a strategic planner, and a resilient crisis manager. He earned an MSc degree in Tourism Management and Planning from Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom in addition to a number of other certificates and diplomas from national and international institutions. The thesis topic of his master’s degree research was "Environmental Impacts of Tourism, a Case Study of Waste Management in Baltoro." His research explores the environmental impact of trekking groups and mountaineering expeditions in the Baltoro region and concludes with a set of carefully considered recommendations for policy makers and environment managers. He is greatly interested in poverty alleviation in mountain communities, the economical and social empowerment of women, and educating the general populace on the importance of their cultures and natural habitat through sustainable tourism.

ATP is very selective when employing field staff. Most field staff members are locals of the tourist destinations. Our guides are very experienced and have in-depth knowledge of the areas where they operate. They are fluent in local dialects, which enables them to understand the cultures and therefore interpret the language for the tourists, thereby enhancing the tourists’ experience. Our guides speak English, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Russian, Turkish, Chinese, and Japanese. Our kitchen staff (for camping trips) is well trained and experienced and specialize in Pakistani, Chinese, Continental and European cuisine.
Being the leading adventure outfitters in Pakistan with personal experience in the field, we use the best available camping equipment including branded tents, like The North Face, Mountain Hardware, Ferrino, and Red Fox.
Your safety is our main concern. We send clear, concise, and relevant information about health, the local climate, food, etc., to travelers who choose to use our services. We are in constant contact with our field offices and monitor all aspects of the tour that could affect your trip, including government policies and weather. In case of emergency, we are on-call 24 hours a day.
