Local Tour Guides
One of our biggest strength is the wide network of skilled local guides and tour assistants that we work with throughout the country. Our guides are capable of speaking major foreign languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Turkish, Arabic and Chinese among others. We only select local guides from each area who are aware of important landmarks, markets and know how to move around. Equipment and Gear
We work with a number of sports equipment and gear companies to offer the latest in mountaineering and trekking gear for adventurers and explorers. The equipment we provide is tested and manufactured by recognized brands and is suitable professional grade trekking and mountain climbing. Some of brands we use are The North Face, Techoworld, Ferrino, Mountain Hardware, Fjjal & Red fox etc.You don’t need to cut your trip short or go looking for new equipment just because you lost your sporting gear. You can get all types of equipment including trekking or mountaineering shoes, backpacks, hydration containers, daypacks, tents, sleeping bags, cots, mattresses, cooking utensils, lanterns, flashlights, water treatment pills and much more.
Food
We have been in the travel and tourism business for a long time. When it comes to food, we understand what visitors from different regions like and dislike. People from some cultures are used to the hot, spicy curries that are common in Pakistan while others find them too hot and prefer mild, gentle food.When we work with tourists and visitors, we ask them about their favored cuisine and taste preferences. We provide guidance about meals and recommend restaurants that serve dishes that are adjusted according to client requirements. Vegans and people who abstain from meat for religious reasons are recommended vegetarian dishes based on their needs. Our guides will also take care of allergies if our valued clients inform in advance.
One of the founding members of ATP and tourism in Pakistan. Mr. Aman is also the first Pakistani to climb K-2, the second-highest mountain in the world. During his school years, back in 1962, he was awarded the “Himalayan Tiger” by the German Mountaineering team for his important role in attempting Nanga Parbat summit, a famous mountain in Pakistan. He has received the “Pride of Performance” award from the President of Pakistan, one of the highest medals of Honor in the country. In 1999, he also received the “Uno Dei Cento” (1 in 100) award in Milan, Italy, and a number of other international awards for his work. Ashraf has had a keen interest in hiking and adventure from an early age. With over 45 years of experience in the field of travel and tourism management, he specializes in adventure tourism. For all of his professional life, he has tirelessly organized tours and adventures to remote destinations in the country. His vast experience in mountaineering and adventure travel, provided Ashraf the expertise to coordinate a wide variety of tours and lead Adventure Tours Pakistan, accommodating every client’s needs.
Naiknam is a renowned travel and tourism professional with Master of Science degree in Tourism Management and Planning from Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom. He has extensive experience in the tourism business with areas of expertise including operation management, human resources
Management, finance, marketing, planning, and research. He is a target-oriented professional, a strategic planner, and a resilient crisis manager.
Naiknam also holds several certificates and diplomas from national and international institutions, which he leverages as an innovative, proactive, and forward thinking CEO. Naiknam has conducted research to explore the environmental impact of trekking groups and mountaineering expeditions on the Baltoro region and presented his recommendations to policy makers and environmental managers for the betterment of the environment and mitigating the negative impact on the local region.
We are delighted to share our work experience, which includes our partnership as a DMC with tour companies, top broadcasting channels, and news outlets (BBC, National Geographic and KBS, SBS, & Focus etc.). Along with these organizations, we have delivered exceptional tourism experiences to Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) many FIT tourists, mountaineers, adventure seekers, and trekkers. In 2004, ATP was honored to be the official host of K-2 Golden Jubilee Expedition, where more than 500 mountaineers, trekkers, and high officials visited Pakistan to mark the 50th anniversary of the first successful climb of K-2. In addition, we have been honored for being the official agents for the logistics of Dubai Expo 2020 for two provinces (Gilgit Baltistan and AJK). ATP also takes pride to organize numerous winter expeditions on K-2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum-I & Gasherbrum-II, Nanga Parbat etc. Also, ATP regularly hosts scientific/geological expeditions and research projects with several international educational institutions.
We take our responsibility to Pakistan’s local communities, their customs, and the environment with the utmost seriousness. Part of your payment is specifically allocated towards humanitarian activities. We actively support the Mountain Women Development Organization (MWDO), a non-profit organization committed to the social and economic empowerment of women living in the mountainous areas of Pakistan. MWDO offers opportunities to women through skill development programs, interest free Microloans for small businesses, counseling services, scholarships for needy students, and access to basic health facilities in remote villages.
