Our Team

Mr. Ashraf Aman – Founder

One of the founding members of ATP and tourism in Pakistan. Mr. Aman is also the ﬁrst Pakistani to climb K-2, the second-highest mountain in the world. During his school years, back in 1962, he was awarded the “Himalayan Tiger” by the German Mountaineering team for his important role in attempting Nanga Parbat summit, a famous mountain in Pakistan. He has received the “Pride of Performance” award from the President of Pakistan, one of the highest medals of Honor in the country. In 1999, he also received the “Uno Dei Cento” (1 in 100) award in Milan, Italy, and a number of other international awards for his work. Ashraf has had a keen interest in hiking and adventure from an early age. With over 45 years of experience in the ﬁeld of travel and tourism management, he specializes in adventure tourism. For all of his professional life, he has tirelessly organized tours and adventures to remote destinations in the country. His vast experience in mountaineering and adventure travel, provided Ashraf the expertise to coordinate a wide variety of tours and lead Adventure Tours Pakistan, accommodating every client’s needs.

Mr. Naiknaam Karim – Managing Director

Naiknam is a renowned travel and tourism professional with Master of Science degree in Tourism Management and Planning from Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom. He has extensive experience in the tourism business with areas of expertise including operation management, human resources

Management, ﬁnance, marketing, planning, and research. He is a target-oriented professional, a strategic planner, and a resilient crisis manager.

Naiknam also holds several certiﬁcates and diplomas from national and international institutions, which he leverages as an innovative, proactive, and forward thinking CEO. Naiknam has conducted research to explore the environmental impact of trekking groups and mountaineering expeditions on the Baltoro region and presented his recommendations to policy

makers and environmental managers for the betterment of the environment and mitigating the negative impact on the local region.

Our Clients

We are delighted to share our work experience, which includes our partnership as a DMC with tour companies, top broadcasting channels, and news outlets (BBC, National Geographic and KBS, SBS, & Focus etc.). Along with these organizations, we have delivered exceptional tourism experiences to Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) many FIT tourists, mountaineers, adventure seekers, and trekkers. In 2004, ATP was honored to be the ofﬁcial host of K-2 Golden Jubilee Expedition, where more than 500 mountaineers, trekkers, and high ofﬁcials visited Pakistan to mark the 50th anniversary of the ﬁrst successful climb of K-2. In addition, we have been honored for being the ofﬁcial agents for the logistics of Dubai Expo 2020 for two provinces (Gilgit Baltistan and AJK). ATP also takes pride to organize numerous winter expeditions on K-2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum-I & Gasherbrum-II, Nanga Parbat etc. Also, ATP regularly hosts scientiﬁc/geological expeditions and research projects with several international educational institutions.

We actively support the Mountain Women Development Organization (MWDO), a non-proﬁt organization committed to the social and economic empowerment of women living in the mountainous areas of Pakistan. MWDO offers opportunities to women through skill development programs, interest free Microloans for small businesses, counseling services, scholarships for needy students, and access to basic health facilities in remote villages.
