Ishkoman to Darkot Over Attar Pass (4650 m)

When it comes to trekking, Pakistan has a variety of trekking routes for all kinds of adventure enthusiasts. There are hundreds of unexplored routes and some with just few trekkers. Hindu Kush is among the less explored mountain region in Pakistan which has a variety of choices for both soft and strenuous trekking trips. Ishkoman to Darkot village trek over Attar Pass is an easy but Interesting short trekking route. The trek can be done from either sides (from Ishkoman to Darkot or Darkot to Ishkoman. The trek from Ishkoman starts in a small village called Ghutolti with sixty five to seventy households. They valley is ideal for the adventure lovers who attempt small peaks of 6000 meters. After two days hike, you will reach Attar Lake, a beautiful natural water reservoir that lies at an altitude of around 4000 meters above the sea level. The Lake is surrounded by beautiful wild flowers and snow- capped peaks. The trek ends at Darkot Village in Yasin Valley. The return trip to Islamabad can be the same way via Gilgit or through Chitral. By taking Chitral route, Kailash valley and Swat can also be explored.

We used the services of ADVENTURE TOURS PAKISTAN (ATP) for our tour from Lahore to Gilgit-Baltistan and Hunza Valley in July 2022. We were a group of 8 people. Right from the beginning, during the preparation period, Naiknam, the owner/manager of the company, and Abida were very prompt with our queries, very precise in preparing the documents and provided accurate and useful information. Pakistan may be a difficult country for organising activities and that is why I really appreciate the efforts, professionalism and accuracy of ADVENTURE TOURS PAKISTAN team. For ourselves, everything was professionally organised. Our tour guide Amir was very professional. He managed to arrange an alternative transport due to the closure of KKH, was always ready to help or give advice. His knowledge of the places is amazing, which we really appreciated. We liked the hotels selected by ADVENTURE TOURS PAKISTAN - good quality and nice staff. The tour was challenging for our travellers, but thanks to the professionalism of ADVENTURE TOURS PAKISTAN it became a very good and interesting adventure without any logistical or other problems.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I personally have travelled to close to 50 countries but this was my first trip to the Northern areas of Pakistan.
We had a great experience with ATP. I did two trips back-to-back with family (10 members) and then onwards on my own for a two-week trip to Northern areas of Pakistan. Areas covered. Naran, Gilgit, Hunza, Astore, Domail, Desosai, Skardu, Gupis, Phander, Shandur, Chitral, and Kailash.
Excellent service and very responsive. Everyone in the family very happy with their service. The driver was always on time as we'd leave very early at 7 am daily. For the family trip we stayed at 7 different places in 10 days. We hired a grand cabin van and then also jeeps (prados) where the van couldn't go. Both were great. One day our van driver was not well, we called an said to have a back-up plan and they agreed to it. We didn't need it but was good to know that they were responsive.
The van was very comfortable and so was the Prado jeep.
