We recently modernized our businesses and established closer relationships with international tour operators to provide better services to customers. More than 90% of our business comes from foreign visitors, tour groups and holiday makers who visit the country for exploration, pleasure, an adventure holiday or to attend seasonal festivals.

We provide our clients with car rentals and coach booking services that make it easier for them to travel around without paying exorbitant rates to taxi drivers and car rental companies. We can book regular or luxury car travel and also book a coach for visitors to help them travel to remote locations. Services are provided for singles, couples and group travel, based on client requirements.
Local Tour Guides
One of our biggest strength is the wide network of skilled local guides and tour assistants that we work with throughout the country. Our guides are capable of speaking major foreign languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Turkish, Arabic and Chinese among others. We only select local guides from each area who are aware of important landmarks, markets and know how to move around. Our travel guides help tourists reach their destination or go sightseeing with complete safety and trust.

Equipment and Gear
ATP work with a number of sports equipment and gear companies to offer the latest in mountaineering and trekking gear for adventurers and explorers. The equipment we provide is tested and manufactured by recognized brands and is suitable professional grade trekking and mountain climbing. Some of brands we use are The North Face, Techoworld, Ferrino, Mountain Hardware, Fjjal & Red fox etc.You don’t need to cut your trip short or go looking for new equipment just because you lost your sporting gear. You can get all types of equipment including trekking or mountaineering shoes, backpacks, hydration containers, daypacks, tents, sleeping bags, cots, mattresses, cooking utensils, lanterns, flashlights, water treatment pills and much more.
Food
We have been in the travel and tourism business for a long time. When it comes to food, we understand what visitors from different regions like and dislike. People from some cultures are used to the hot, spicy curries that are common in Pakistan while others find them too hot and prefer mild, gentle food.When we work with tourists and visitors, we ask them about their favored cuisine and taste preferences. We provide guidance about meals and recommend restaurants that serve dishes that are adjusted according to client requirements. Vegans and people who abstain from meat for religious reasons are recommended vegetarian dishes based on their needs. Our guides will also take care of allergies if our valued clients inform in advance.

Our company was founded and developed by pioneering mountaineer Ashraf Aman and managing director Naiknam Karim. ATP combines professionalism and expertise seamlessly. By integrating innovations in tourism technology with strategic planning, we leverage our team’s knowledge and technology to create specialized, tailored plans for our clients. Here is a brief introduction to our accomplished team:
Ashraf Aman is the first Pakistani to successfully climb K-2, the second-highest mountain in the world. During his school years in 1962, he was honored with the title “Himalayan Tiger” by a German mountaineering team for his significant contributions to the attempt to summit Nanga Parbat, famously known as the “killer mountain.”
He has received several prestigious awards, including the “Pride of Performance” from the President of Pakistan, one of the country’s highest honors. In 1999, he was awarded the “Uno Dei Cento” (1 in 100) in Milan, Italy, along with numerous other international accolades for his achievements. Ashraf has had a passion for hiking, climbing, and other adventure activities since childhood. With over fifty years of experience in travel and tourism management, he has worked tirelessly to organize and lead mountain sports, adventure holidays, and cultural tours throughout his professional career.
Naiknam is a well-known professional in the travel and tourism industry, boasting extensive experience in this field. He has expertise in various areas, including operations management, human resources management, finance, marketing, planning, and research. Naiknam holds a Master of Science degree in Tourism Management and Planning from Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom, as well as several certificates and diplomas from national and international institutions. As a goal-oriented professional, he excels in strategic planning and demonstrates resilience in crisis management.
He utilizes this knowledge as an innovative, proactive, and forward-thinking CEO. His research examines the environmental impact of trekking groups and mountaineering expeditions in the Baltoro region. He has presented his findings and recommendations to policymakers and environmental managers to help improve the local environment and mitigate the adverse effects of tourism. Mr. Karim has also served as the General Secretary of the Pakistan Association of Tour Operators PATO), taking significant steps to enhance Pakistan’s tourism profile on the international stage. Additionally, he is a social activist, reformer, and environmental campaigner.
Guides
ATP places great importance on having experienced and knowledgeable guides. Our guides possess extensive experience in their respective fields and have excellent understanding of the areas they lead. Most of them are locals, which enriches their ability to connect with the culture. They are familiar with local dialects, enabling them to better understand and explain local customs to you, making your trip more interesting and memorable. A key factor in our success in adventure tourism is our field staff, especially our cooks, who play a vital role in the experience. Our cooks are highly trained and have gained experience working in renowned restaurants. They provide a diverse menu that fosters a home-like atmosphere, and they place a strong emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene. We are excited to share our experiences and highlight our role as a Destination Management Company (DMC). We have been working with over one hundred holidaymakers, tour operators, and adventure outfitters from around the world, as well as several leading broadcasting channels and news outlets, including the BBC, National Geographic, Korean Broadcasting System, Seoul Broadcasting System, Focus Television Germany, Antenna 3 Spain, and Globo Television Brazil. ATP had the honor of serving as the official host for the K-2 Golden Jubilee Expedition in 2004, during which more than 500 mountaineers, trekkers, and high-ranking officials visited Pakistan to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first successful ascent of K-2.
At ATP, we were proud to act as the official logistics agents for the Dubai Expo 2020 for two regions: Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). In addition to organizing thousands of mountaineering expeditions and trekking groups in the summer season, ATP also takes pride in organizing numerous winter expeditions on renowned peaks such as K-2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum I, Gasherbrum II, and Nanga Parbat. Furthermore, we regularly host scientific and geological expeditions and research projects in collaboration with various international educational institutions/universities.
We take our responsibility to Pakistan’s local communities, their customs, and the environment with the utmost seriousness. Part of your payment is specifically allocated towards humanitarian activities. We actively support the Mountain Women Development Organization (MWDO), a non-profit organization committed to the social and economic empowerment of women living in the mountainous areas of Pakistan. MWDO offers opportunities to women through skill development programs, interest free Microloans for small businesses, counseling services, scholarships for needy students, and access to basic health facilities in remote villages.
We take our responsibility towards Pakistan’s local communities, their customs, and the environment very seriously. A portion of our income is specifically allocated to humanitarian activities.
